What value do competency based recruitment processes really give us? How can you be sure, based on the competencies, if a candidate will fit into your organisational culture? If you recruit based on the need for strengths and the cultural fit that this implies will you see better hires and retention? We think so.
This approach takes away the ‘clever’ approach and questions such as ‘what biscuit would you be?’. Demeaning? Yes. Valuable? Not really. If we get it right everyone benefits.
